Okay, we've made it!  Now that you are almost at the end of the semester, you should be beginning to put your portfolios together.  You've already done a good bit of writing and revising; in fact, some of you may already have several drafts of one of more assignments.  Good.  What you have left to do now is to look back at those early drafts, look back at any journal entries from the beginning of trhe semester, and assess your progress.
In what areas do you think your writing has improved?  What are you currently learning?  What do you still feel uncomfortable with?  Which is harder for you--personal writing, summary, or analysis?  You don't have to answer all these questions.  As usual, they are simply here as springboards to allow you to jump into the assignment.  Since you will be working on final revisions while writing this essay, you should include in it examples of the changes you are making and the reasons for those changes.
You have all worked very hard this semester.  Thanks. 1
