This page is about me and why I started all this.

 

 

My name is Jay Starkey and I am from Graham Texas a small town in North Central Texas. About 90 miles north west of Fort Worth.

I have been working with wood off and on since junior high school. I really got into woodworking about 2 years ago when I saw a mirror frame at a local store and thought I could do that and it would not cost me near as much to build it so I did it turned out great. That first mirror ended up as a Christmas gift for my grandmother. So I dont have to say it was as close to perfect as possible, and she loved it .

My shop is currently in the same building as the welding shop my father and I run.
I am how ever building my new wood shop and would love to hear ideas on anything you can think of to do to it before or after it is done.
