we are rooted

of earth, soil sand rock, ancient preserver, held deep and firm
warm loam odors, bodies inhaled, singing countless life variations
some long stilled, forgotten, some quick feeding new

we are filled

brushed by water, impressionist immerses cool blending colors
forms blurred soft, feeling eye-easy indistinct
to take as we will, to our fancy curved

we are transformed

steeled by fire, acid blue, rocket red boils down elements
slices forms to heat, then ash, fast gone
on choices slim to none, we are swept up

we are moved

borne on wind, reckless youth sweeps debris aloft
bears away what is loose, cleanses palates, chills blood
scours to bedrock, breathes renewal

we are change and
always the same
