Ascended creature of earth with lofty spirit
Borne on high by thunderous wing
Coalesced in my eye from pale blue horizon
Descended to new regions found- touched down
Engaged this other for such brief span
Found reason to pause for moments too few
Glimpsed and captured in eye what the heart had known
Hopes raised on internal wings unaccustomed to flight
Insights gained from new proximity but then
Journey must continue, carry her on away
Kindness of destiny was stirred but a moment
Longing each for the other intensified
Made palpable by touch of warm skin on soft flesh
Newly raised feelings no longer abstract
Obscured before by distance and doubt
Placed now firmly within, impossible to ignore
Quietly foment, with sweet scent of reality
Raised banners of intent for another joining
Stretched now across personal firmament
Took their completion from encounter made
Unknown face once but for static image lent
Viewed now with wondrous response to presence
Widened in my mind in welcoming soft smile
Yet only in dream has this happened - the
Zenith to our relationship yet to be scaled
