I Want A New Start

I started out fresh, hopeful, recognizing your strengths
Sure enough, we left your funk and rode hard

We joined forces

We started out fresh, hopeful, exploring new places
Sure enough, our combination was powerful and good

We rode onward

But somewhere along the way, my horse's flaws
Meshed with your cruel hungers and you reined it in

I fell from the saddle
