The poutlines, cries, smiles and laughs of delight
would etch our faces and crease the air with sound
if we were children but
the feelings wouldn't be there
Not like this
the truth of the separation and togetherness
is much more concrete in a sense
more ethereal in others
than a child could comprehend
As a child
My world hadn't yet expanded beyond to incorporate
awareness of the other as part of myself
the metaphysical space that is filled as a
drawing of each other into a union
Nothing in nature can express it
and metaphors fail me
unless I describe it like a man
standing on the ground
might only manage to describe
a distant flat horizon
all the while aware of the curve
and continuity of the earth
so is our oneness- it looks like
a flat limited thing of edges
but in fact it is a continuous
object beyond euclidian geometry
flowing ever outward
enveloping our multiverses
