Mixed Metaphor




he was too deep for me, he of the powertool and sunglasses metaphor so
I didn't get beyond his 30X wet-or-dry sandpaper exterior to the
misspaced studs, the rough bumps in the drywall, the door s that hung
crooked so they close whther you want them to or not, or are warped
and won't close at all and what does it all mean about the person?
none of us are architectural masterpieces, or even showroom models for
cookiecutter housing But we are great art- (warning: paradym
shift) with unplumbed depths, unsounded canyons, chimneys ten thousand
feet high spewing hot lava only to be cooled by millions of gallons of
ocean water, rarely breaking the surface of our own personal Pacific
