haunted
Been On a Train- Laura Nyro- she bares her soul- gently coaxes,
cajoles, pleas, screams, with a stark, tense, screeching climax- all
emotion- noooo, noooo. The piano is a percussion instrument no warmth
pure tone her voice a plea without hope Her lover or friend is on the
downslope, the brakes, if he reached for them, might not have stopped
him- the bridge is out, he is oblivious, doesn't hear her screaming at
him to JUMP. He pushes the needle in again feels nothing takes no
prisoners freefalls white noise fills his head she reaches for him he
is a wisp of cold scottish mist on the cliff face wet slippery

warmth would make him disappear no matter he is gone

she moans, she mourns she is silent
