This is a sample of a funky retro style that you might like. It's not completely alligned but you'll get the idea.
It may appear a bit washed out and large on your computer but it can be altered. I'm working on a rather old monitor and I am still not sure about the colours and the size.
Do you want the webpage to fit the 800 X 600 standard or the newer 1024 X 768? There are even higher definitions but most people don't design wepgages around the highest settings.
