The Dollls

 

A small bedroom sits in the corner of the house Empty Abandoned Void of the laughter of yesterday Her dolls lay abandoned Waiting for her return Not knowing what has happened She left and they thought return was inevitable But as the hours wore on they began to wonder Two days passed and she had not returned On the fifth day they found her body Beaten, broken and lifeless Thrown carelessly into a ditch Her family knows the truth She will not return But yet her dolls Lay on the floor Waiting
