Other Poetry, Prose, Etc.
The following are various pieces of poetry, prose, or other forms of artwork created by some long-deceased genius

New Kingdom Egyptian Poetry
These are my favorite Egyptian poems, and definitely rank among the top of my all-time favorites list. Of the three kingdoms of Egyptian "literature", the New Kingdom is by far the best, perhaps simply because of its Romantic-esque style. I'm not one for love poems and such, but these would make me melt.

I Love A Girl, But She Lives Over There
My Love Is Back, Let Me Shout Out the News
When We Kiss, And Her Warm Lips Half Open
I Love You Through the Daytimes
Whenever I Leave You, I Go Out Of Breath
If I Could Just Be the Washerman

Poetry by Archilochus
Archilochus was a Greek poet from the 7th century B.C. Being somewhat of a renaissance man himself, one of Archilochus' jobs was as a sort of mercenary. Many of his poems speak of being a soldier in a rather... light... manner.

Selections by Rumi
Rumi is perhaps the best of all the Sufi poets. I absolutely love Sufism, or what little I understand of it. I think it is the perfect Eastern interpretation of a classical Western theology.

There Is A Kiss
What Was Said To the Rose
The Soul of Goodness in Things Evil
There Is A Field
The Jesus Of Your Spirit
Awakened By Your Love

Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats
I always loved these poems by T.S. Eliot and thought they epitomized the many diverse characteristics of all cats (and people, for that matter). These are a few of my favorites.

Skimbleshanks: The Railway Cat
Macavity: The Mystery Cat
Growltiger's Last Stand
