these  are a few pictures of some of my scratchbuilt rolling stock.  i usually use hardwoods to build

these as i guess i am little rough with them and they do stay outdoors alot in the good weather.

this coal gondola is entirely built in oak handcut scale lumber.  the real

coal load covers a cmi sound system with a remote doorbell to control the

whistle.

the boxcar is built out of redwood and oak scale lumber.

all the hardware is scratchbuilt brass and all lettering is done by hand.

this boxcar is currently being upgraded to kadee body mount couplers

the original cabooses were nothing more than converted boxcars.  when

the railroads discovered that they could not exist without them, they made the waycars.  this model

in solid oak planking loosely follows early d&rgw practice.  all the hardware is brass including

working spring system in the undercarrige.  it also has a constant voltage trackpowered lighting

system.
