the
boxcar is built out of redwood and oak scale lumber.
all the hardware
is scratchbuilt brass and all lettering is done by hand.
this
boxcar is currently being upgraded to kadee body mount couplers
the
original cabooses were nothing more than converted boxcars. when
the railroads discovered that they could not exist without them,
they made the waycars. this model
in solid oak planking loosely follows early d&rgw practice. all the hardware is brass including
working spring system in the undercarrige. it also has a constant voltage trackpowered
lighting
system.
