A glimpse of a Airborne Ranger
PLEASE GIVE TIME TO LOAD
By SPC Kidder, Age 19, Lexington, Ky
To your left you'll see my unit insignia's which signifys C/Co 1/149th In Bn (Infantry) with a ranger tab which shows successful completion of Ranger school.  I been to Bosnia which most definately was a life changing experience for all of those involved and my hat goes off to those members that are still over there fighting today. However I didn't earn a CIB for being in Bosnia for some reason. Beside the SPC rank  is Airborne wings which means I get to jump out of planes and all that fun stuff because I went to a 3 week school for it Below everything else you'll see a picture with a eagle like chevron which symbolizes the rank of Specialist (E-4 SPC).  In the Infantry/Ranger  field  so long as you keep your head on straight and act right you gain rank quicker than any other field in the US armed services.
Information about SF
As a SF or Ranger soldier I'm basically "non-existant" to the military, and the only people having access to my military file being myself, and the president; nobody else has the clearance to obtain my records.  Being a SF soldier as I said before I'm non-existant so to speak in the military so I do have 1 discharge paper showing I completed training and then was dishcarged simply to show that "I was" part of the Army but still am, just not on a publicly known account.  Being a SF soldier you're on stand-by 24/7 365 ready to go at any point in time.  You also will encounter some of the most interesting things the world has to offer, however you're not allowed to disclose any information to anybody about where you're going, what you've done nor where you're at and what you're doing at the present moment which can make it a very hard life to live if you have a close knit family or you're married/ in a relationship, etc.

Soldier's Creed
Ranger's Creed
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor and high espirit de corps of my Ranger Regiment.
Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move farther, faster and fight harder than any other soldier.
Never shall I fail my comrades.  I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be.  One-hundred-percent and then some.
Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier.  My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.
Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country.  I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might.  Surrender is not a Ranger word.  I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circustances will I ever embarrass my country.
Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.
RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!
AIRBORNE CREED
I volunteered as a parachutist, fully realizing the hazard of my chosen service and by my thoughts and actions will always uphold the prestige, honor and high espirit-de-corps of parachute troops.

I realize that a parachutist is not merely a soldier who arrives by parachute to fight, but is an elite shock trooper and that his country expects him to march farther and faster, to fight harder, and to be more self-reliant than any other soldier.  Parachutists of all allied armies belong to this great brotherhood.

I shall never fail my fellow comrades by shirking any duty or training, but will always keep myself mentally and physically fit and shoulder my full share of the task, whatever it may be.

I shall always accord my superiors fullest loyalty and I will always bear in mind the sacred trust I have in the lives of the men I will accompany into battle.

I shall show other soldiers by my military courtesy, neatness of dress and care of my weapons and equipment that I am a picked and well trained soldier.

I shall endeavore always to reflect the high standards of training and morale of parachute troops.

I shall respect the abilities of my enemies, I will fight fairly and with all my might, surrender is not in my creed.

I shall display a high degree of iniitiative and will fight on to my objective and mission, though I be the lone survivor.

I shall prove my ability as a fighting man against the enemy of the field of battle, not by quarreling with my comrades in armys of by bragging about my deeds.

I shall always realize that battles are won by an army fighting as a team, that I fight first and blaze the path into battle for others to follow and to carry the battle on.

I belong to the finest unit in the world.  by my actions and deeds alone, I speak for my fighting ability.  I will strive to uphold the honor and prestige of my outfit, making my country proud of me and my of the unit to which I belong.
and last but not the least by far, the Special Forces Creed
I am an American Special Forces soldier.  A professional!  I will do all that my nation requires of me.

I am a volunteer, knowing well the hazards of my profession.

I serve with the memory of those who have gone before me: Roger's Rangers, Francis Marion, Mosby's Rangers, the first Special Service Forces and Ranger Battalions of World War II, The Airborne Ranger Companies of Korea.  I pledge to uphold the honor and integrity of all I am - in all I do.

I am a professional soldier.  I will teach and fight wherever my nation requires.  I will strive always, to excel in every art and artifice of war.

I know that I will be called upon to perform tasks in isolation, far from familiar faces and voices, with the help and guidance of my God.

I will keep my mind and body clean, alert and strong, for this is my debt to those who depend upon me.

I will not fail those with whom I serve.  I will not bring shame upon myself or the forces.

I will maintain myself, my arms, and my equipment in an immaculate state as befits a Special Forces soldier.

I will never surrender though I be the last.  If I am taken, I pray that I may have the strength to spit upon my enemy.

My goal is to succeed in any mission - and to live to succeed again.

I am a member of my nation's chosen soldiery.  God grant that I may not be found wanting, that I will not fail this sacred trust.
If you actually made it this far down the page I thank you and hope your somewhat a little more informed about an elite branch of the US armed forces and will offer your support to our troops past and present.  God bless.
Myself (SPC Kidder) and SPC Alexandresco at the state fair while I was doing my ADSW running around playing recruiter.  At the time I didn't have a clue where my beret was so I had to pimp the ole PC (patrol cap)
<==== Everybody needs to remember that while they're fussing and bitching about the war on terrorism.
Although the US didn't call Vietnam "a war" those that were there beg to differ.  My hat goes off and my heart goes out to all the men and women of that time that served.  And for those draft dodgers.  You'll get what's coming to you one day
Now don't ever tell me  or anybody that you can't get a hummer through some thick shit lol.  Now H2's.....that's another story those are pieces of shit
I actually do wear civillian clothes periodically lol
