Raised in a family of brigands and thieves, Terailion made his living robbing
the rich to feed his family. Dubbed "Renegade" throughout the cities and
wild lands of Earth, he built up his reputation as an expert thief. Having
the bad luck to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, his family and friends
were killed as part of a plot to spark an inter-planetary war and he is framed
as the assassin of the King and Queen of T'aeryn.
Rescued from execution by the young prince of T'aeryn,
Solorion,
and his bodyguard
Rahmiel,
he follows the prince back to T'aeryn, owing him a life debt. Ambushed by
the traitorous warriors of the Kirin Tor in the Tangaloor forest, he takes
an arrow trying to protect the prince. Terailion, terribly wounded, is rushed
to the palace on T'aeryn. After exposing the traitors at the heart of the
conspiracy, Solorion and Terailion became very close friends, each sharing
the tragedy of losing loved ones. They became blood brothers - sharing such
a strong bond that they could tell each other's emotions from great distances
apart.
Terailion studied the ways of the Kirin Tor, training to become a great warrior.
He vowed to always protect the new King and his family. On the morning of
the Great Fall of T'aeryn, Terailion was sent to Earth to investigate the
cause of the strange shadows and tremors of the planet. Seeing the great
wave of darkness leaving Earth and rushing toward T'aeryn during the solar
eclipse, Terailion could not warn the planet in time to prevent the attack.
He was trapped on Earth and had to watch helplessly as his beloved home fell
to the Armies of the Dark Dragon.
Desperately trying to get to the Star Gate to help his friend the King, Terailion
fell to the ground as an icy pang pierced his heart. Sick with grief, he
realized his blood brother was dead. So terrible was his pain at losing his
friend and family, he immediately tried to commit suicide, but before he
could deliver the fatal blow, a powerful blast of light engulfed the heavens
in a pure white sheet. A warm hand touched his arm and he turned to find
himself face to face with Solorion's soul.
The dead King ordered Terailion not to kill himself, but to care for and
train his daughter when she comes to him in the future. Solorion's spirit
told him that the Queen
Imbrium
had sacrificed her life to stop the Armies of Darkness from attacking the
Earth. The planet of T'aeryn and it's people were gone, now dust and chunks
of rock, but the evil had been stopped from spreading. The King wanted no
more blood spilled, least of all that of his closest friend.
So Terailion wandered the Earth as a rogue warrior, alone and deeply shamed
that he could not save Solorion and his family and that he was not there
to die for him, until the time would pass when the King's daughter would
come to him.
