Imbrium is the Guardian of the Star of the Parhelia constellation. Her name
means "tears" but she is known by many other names; the Silver Lady, the
Queen of Stars, the Queen of Tears, and the Lady of Parhelia. She helped
protect the Sun's Blade from
Malus,
the dark Parhelia.
Imbrium fell in love with the prince of T'aeryn,
Solorion,
but because she was the Guardian of a Star, she could not live an ordinary
mortal life. Imbrium left her constellation, setting the Parhelia free. Death
granted her an immortal soul and the power of her Star was locked away in
the crystal form of a scepter rod, a symbol of peace. However, if she choose,
the power of her Star could be awakened and used. Imbrium and Solorion were
married and made King and Queen of Earth's sister planet T'aeryn. Their reign
marked the start of a long and peaceful time.
However, this happiness was short-lived, for a dark shadow threatened the
planets of Light. The Dark Lord sought to seize the power of the stars now
finally within his grasp. For years, the Dark Lord's Chosen One had built
up enmity against the kingdom of T'aeryn. General
Jareil
Halcyon, once a friend of the royal family, grew jealous of the Star
Guardian's power and the love between Imbrium and Solorion. He plotted in
secret against the King and Queen with the Dark Dragon. With the power of
Malus' Eye and the Army of the Damned, he led a massive attack on the planet
of T'aeryn on the night of the Great Fall. All of the people were annihilated
and only a rare few who managed to escape through a Star Gate lived to tell
the tale.
The sun was eclipsed by the Earth and it's Guardian,
Helios,
was powerless to help, so sudden and furious was the attack that came without
warning. Queen Imbrium, hearing the soul of the planet scream in anguish
and seeing the cloud of darkness descending like a wave upon the palace at
Tirisfal frantically tried to locate her only child - the Crown Princess
of T'aeryn, the only heir to the throne. The Princess, only four years old
at the time, was innocently playing in the palace gardens, completely unaware
of the horror raging out of control beyond the palace walls.
The King vainly tried to organize the city's soldiers to hold back the onslaught
but they were viciously cut down by the Army of the Damned. King Solorion
was forced to retreat to the inner courtyard of the palace and protect his
daughter who emerged from the gardens hearing the howl of battle. Solorion
made his last stand in front of the palace gates, challenged to a fight with
Jareil, who he thought was once his friend. The King was slain in front of
his daughter, the image of his death forever seared into the Princess's mind.
Jareil took the Princess hostage, demanding that the Queen be brought before
him and the secret of her power given to him or he would kill her child.
Imbrium, knowing that her beloved mate was dead and fearing for her daughter,
relented. The Queen would give the Dark Lord's Chosen her power if she could
only have her child back. The Princess was released, but as soon as she was
gathered into her mother's arms, a brilliant flash of light engulfed them
both and they vanished. Imbrium had awakened her Star for the final battle.
The Queen gave her child to her closest friend,
Elowyn,
and instructed her to swiftly take the princess to the palace Star Gate and
travel to Earth where they would be safe. Queen Imbrium would stay on T'aeryn
and fight the terrible darkness to prevent it from ever reaching Earth. Elowyn,
with the Princess under her cloak, raced out of the palace on the Chrys'luma
unicorn who would help them travel through the Gateway to Earth.
The General Jareil, furious at being tricked, tore through every room of
the palace, killing all the inhabitants and looking for the Queen. He finally
spotted her form climbing to the highest tower of the palace and pursued.
Imbrium reached the open platform at the top of the spire well before Jareil.
Gazing out across the heavens to the glowing sphere of the Earth, she made
the ultimate choice. She cast shields around the Earth, Moon and Sun to protect
them and granted new lives to the innocent T'aerynians killed in battle to
be reborn on Earth. Imbrium made her Star to supernova, completely destroying
the Army of Darkness with the powerful explosion of light engulfing the planet.
However, the Queen Imbrium was instantly killed in the moment her Star died.
The great power blasted the planet of T'aeryn apart, but because shields
were placed over the neighboring planets, they were protected. The Moon's
shield failed at the last moment, it's beautiful gardens and forests were
burned, it's many seas vaporized in a few seconds, the surface pummeled with
chunks of rock from the destruction of T'aeryn, and the Moon became a dead,
lifeless rock.
Elowyn and the Princess, now racing to Earth in the Star Gateway, saw the
blinding supernova ignite the planet T'aeryn and consume the evil darkness.
The Dark Lord, seeing what was about to happen and realizing that the Silver
Queen would rather die than hand over the power of the Stars, ripped the
very fabric of space to save his Chosen One and Malus. The daughter of the
King and Queen was taken into the forest on Earth to be raised in seclusion.
The Princess, traumatized by what had happened, had her memories of that
night sealed away by Elowyn who would release them once the Princess was
older. The pieces of the planet T'aeryn formed a ring around the inner planets
known as the Asteroid Belt which remain to this day.
