Enough rambling. Let's get down to a purpose. I'm trying to develop as an artist. Which can only be done through practice, practice, practice... I'm planning to use this page to motivate better study habits. It will be an excuse to reserve time to do what I really want to do. |

My plan is to have a new painting or sketch every few weeks, at least once a month. I invite you to view my work, and encourage your feedback. I'm not asking for gratuitous praise...although, I won't turn it down. But, I need constructive criticism. The key word being constructive. I have a healthy ego..., but, it isn't completely crush-proof.
My goal is to improve my skill, while developing a network of friends who share my aspirations. My sincerest wish is to inspire you to join me. I hope this will encourage you to develop your talent along with mine. If you've always wanted to develop your talent or interest, come along with me. I don't have the experience to 'teach', but, if this encourages you to develop and grow, share your growth with me.

I haven't figured out how to add links, yet, but will in a few days. Until then you might want to check out a few books I've found especially encouraging:
Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, by Betty Edwards.
The Artist's Way, By Julia Cameron
The Right to Write, By Julia Cameron |

I'll be making changes, every so often, irratically, if I stick to developing some art to add to this page, so check in every week or so. I hope to have the watercolor of that pencil sketch finished in about two weeks. Drop by to see if I'm keeping my promises to myself. Promises made to yourself are the easiest to break....Call me on them if you are so inclined. |
