Fraternity Inception

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was founded at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY on December 4th, 1906. It was founded by our seven Most Noble Jewel Brothers, who are as follows:

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is the first national, intercollegiate, Greek-lettered organization for Black men. Alpha Phi Alpha is dedicated to the uplift of the world-wide Black community. Our dedication to service is exemplified by our motto: "First of all, servants of all, we shall transcend all."
