When in doubt, just scan something. I haven't had much luck writing lately, so I decided it would be fun to collect up the photos of the animals I've been lucky enough to be acquainted with in my life. The time frames are a bit shakey on some, but I do have some memorable moments and thoughts for each. The photos are not of the highest quality, but considering that about half of them were taken with a camera I got for selling seeds when I was 9, I think they're okay.
First there was Twinkle. Twinkle Bright Sharp to be exact. Just about the toughest cat I ever met and it was probably because he was the only cat in a neighborhood of 3 dogs. Or, maybe it was because of his name. Hey, I was 7 years old, what do you want?

Most memorable moments: The day Twinkle came home without a scratch, his claws filled with black fur from the neighbor's dog. How he stayed with my dad nearly all day and night before he (my dad) died.
Charlie. Charlie was my brother's dog and a fine dog he was. As I recall, my brother got Charlie about a year before Twinkle came along.

Many years passed after Twinkle left before I became acquainted with Leroy. (You can tell that because the photos change from black and white to color.) Leroy was our first Siamese "experience." The closest you'll come to a dog in a cat. Leroy was a Chocolate Point.

Most memorable moments: The day we brought Leroy home he was quite timid. I don't recall exactly what it was my brother did, probably just wiggling fingers in his face or something, but it literally scared the shit out of the little guy. This was more than just a moment: Leroy used to follow me everywhere and he'd sit at my feet and just stare at me for what seemed like hours when I was studying. His favorite spot was sitting on the phone stand in the kitchen when we were cooking or hanging out to keep warm in the winter.
