Daytrip to Tenacatita!

The main beach at Tenacatita, literally just steps from where the taxis drop people off. You've got a few open-air restaurants right on the beach, a few people, a few boats, and a big bay.

My group was dropped of by taxi from Barra, took a short hike back into the forest behind the beach to the mouth of the river, and then began the river ride.

My view from the back of the boat of el manglar, the jungle. It was very quiet and a little spooky in there. The waterway narrowed so much that we were completely surrounded by branches.

Here's the beach you stop at halfway through the boat trip. Basically, the boat ride begins in the "town" of Tenacatita, travels to this beach via river, and then goes back to the main Tenacatita beach.
