Hate/Love
Author: Angie Harling
I listen to the rain pouring down,
it makes no sound as it hits the ground
It was raining on the day we met,
the sun shone so brightly I could never forget.
I close my eyes as I look around,
I can see you, nowhere to be found.
We found each other but were still so lost,
loving you freely came at such a high cost.
You broke my whole heart in two,
I hated how I was so in love with you.
You tried to feel me but I was so out of touch,
I'm glad your gone but I miss you so much.
You were so truthful when you told me lies,
our hellos alwas ended up as goodbyes.
You proposed but never gave me a wedding band,
this is making me confused but I fully understand
