Some Comments on the trip:

1.  In the briefing, we were told to voice out our observations only to the surveyor. But we did not get to meet the surveyor at all!

2.  The initial reaction when we saw the sample, even from the Vietnamese, was that it didn’t look like long grain rice, and that it looked like it was more than 25% broken.

3.  The loading efficiency was impressive! The photographs clearly show this.

4.  The port and the vessel were very clean. I put on immaculate white socks and wore them with open sandals, and didn’t even get dust on them!

5.  The hosts were very hospitable.

This is how it is done, step by step!

from the terminal warehouse

to the palletized mounds

and on to loading nets on trailers

to be driven to the vessel

to be hoisted by cranes

over to the vessel

and lowered to the hatch

to neat piles on hatch

On a beautiful day for loading, the vessel looks almost new!
