***Hugs and smiles to all !!!!!!
What Native American Chat means to me.......
Wow...!!!!!!!....making me think here, Kachine and Dune!
The image that comes to mind is a dreamcatcher......a web of magical pages to explore, but NAC the shining star in the middle, the hub that draws me back to the centre, the campfire to huddle around with good friends, the table to draw up a chair to, geeeeesssshhh....how many different images do I need ? lolololololol.......You get the picture!
There are so many feelings to express and I would just like to take this time to say Chi-miigwetch to Kachine and Dune for the opportunity to be able to do so.
Now the hard part...
When I first stumbled upon NAC last November 1997, I was looking for something on the internet....just something.....*whammy*...a whole new world opened up for me....no more borders, boundaries.....the mind and fingers free to go anywhere...I mean absolutely anywhere... My first impression was WOW!!! Amazed that NAC even existed, but it was the wit and humor of the people that got me hooked. Big hugs and warm smiles to the friends who helped me understand the program, who gave me avatars and gestures, who showed such generosity and genuine caring for a little cup. (Here I have to shudder at the mistakes I must have made).
The months following have been a time of learning about all our tribes, traditions and greetings in different native languages. I guess this is the second "biggie" the coming together and sharing. It was like being accepted into an extended family.
Next, I was totally captivated by the Native web pages...so beautiful and fantastical. (Thunderous applause for the creativity, intelligence and sharing nature of our Native Americans).
Native American Chat has shocked me(still can’t believe the utter disrespect some people have in their use of certain avatars and gestures)...and on the up side, enchanted me with the beauty of heart-stopping Native gestures. *Salute* ...to the people who create native gestures...you are the greatest!!! Well, great among greats!!!!!
Native American Chat has made me smile, laugh (out-right and loud), giggle, sigh, cry, think, learn, share and teach. I have felt peace, happiness, pride, understanding, warm fuzzy feelings, friendship, kinship(here thinking of Summerwolf....Hi. Sis, love you), sadness, exasperation, confusion, silliness, anger, awe and above all love and respect!!!(special miigwetch to Wagn Brnr for teaching me that Ojibwe word for "smiling at you").
