Stars

The evening stars shine brightly
Each time the sky is clear
As you look up into the sky
You always see them there
They are something you can count on
To always be in place
They go on for miles and miles
As endless as the space

They sparkle just like diamonds
Their number you can't count
They're like sand on the seashore
So great is their amount
Their beauty is so awesome
Nothing can compare
With the stars in Heaven
Their beauty is so rare

Still there will come a time some day
And there will be a place
Where the Heavenly beauty
Will just awe the human race
The streets with gold are paved
No light is needed there
The gates are made of pearl
Precious stones are everywhere

This city will not need a sun
Nor moon to give it light
For the glory of our precious Lord
Will make that city bright
The gates will not be shut
Nothing bad can enter in
For this is the city of our God
Completely free from sin.
