They try so hard in many ways
Doing things for their fellow man
There's nothing wrong with that
As long as they understand
They can't work their way to Heaven
They can't work enough today
They can't earn their salvation
For there is just one way
It's through the blood of Jesus
Their sins are washed away
This is the only way on earth
Anyone can be saved today
Works, though they are good
Won't save your eternal soul
You must yield your life to Jesus
Allow Him to take control
The only way to heaven
And there is just one way
Is to ask Jesus Christ
Into your heart today
The blood of Jesus Christ
Is all that will atone
If He's not in your heart
Heaven won't be your home
