NIGHT OF WONDER

Can you possibly imagine
How the shepherds felt that night
While they sat on a hillside
The darkness became so bright
They heard Angel voices singing
As they proclaimed in song
The long awaited Messiah
The Son of God had come

They were so very frightened
Til the Angel spoke to them
Fear not for glad glad tidings
We bring unto all men
For unto you this day
The Messiah He is born
You'll not find Him in a palace
But in a stable so forlorn

So go unto the place
Wherein the baby stays
Bow down and worship Him
And love Him all your days
For He is God's own Messiah
The one waited for so long
And while the shepherds listened
The Angels sang this song

Glory to God in the highest
And peace, goodwill to men
The world will never be the same
He'll save them from their sin
This child will make a difference
This child was sent from God
This child who is called Jesus
Will spread God's love abroad

(Luke 2:8-20)
