If Jesus promised us He'd stay
Then stay with us He will
For He never made a promise
That He did not fulfill
He's not the one who lies
He's the truth, the light, the way
Satan he is the deceiver
He lies to us each day
He'll try to tell us God's not real
Try to tell us God's not there
He'll tell us we are on our own
We have to be aware
For Satan never says what's true
He never says what's right
He is our greatest enemy
Against him we must fight
Jesus promised He'd never leave us
He'd be with us to the end
And because our Saviour said it
On Him we can depend
Turn all things over to Him
Allow Him to have his way
And you will find that Jesus
Will always make a way
You'll never ever walk alone
You'll never have to fear
For Jesus he will be your friend
He's one who's always there
He'll be your guide through life
And when your journey's o'er
He'll take you to live with Him
On Heaven's Golden shore
