Gone Is The Greyness

The sun was shining across the sea
Making each ripple as bright as could be
The sparkling water looked so clear
It seemed to say, summer is near

The warmth of the sun was good to feel
The winter had seemed so long
The earth it was awakening
The birds sang out their song

Everything seemed new and bright
With each passing day
The coldness was replaced
By the sun's beautiful rays

So it is with a life
That's cold and hard and sad
When Jesus breaks the stony heart
The spirit feels so glad

Gone is the greyness it once knew
It's now filled up with love
Life is now worth the living
Things seem pure as a dove

The presence of the Saviour
With sweetness fills their day
The greyness they were feeling
Slowly melts away
