In our scripture reading Jesus tells us the way that we should react when someone hurts us. He said that we are to love our enemies, bless them that curse us, and to pray for them that despitefully use us. It seems like a hard thing to do, because the natural reaction is to strike back when you are hurt.

In our own selves, we can't do what Jesus said, however, when His Holy Spirit dwells within and we are controlled by Him, we tend to look at others differently when they hurt us. So, when someone hurts you, instead of listening to Satan when he tells you to hurt them back, you do the opposite. Pray for them, ask God to pour out a blessing upon them like never before. Imagine how good you will feel to know that you kept a possible friend, instead of making an enemy.
