Our lives today can be compared to the houses that were built. If we are trusting in the things of the world, they will crumble and fall. We could end up totally devastated, because like the shifting sand, the world is very unstable and nothing is sure or lasting. If our lives are placed firmly upon Jesus, our solid rock, we will live a victorious life and stand firm. Even in the times of trouble and adversity.

There is nothing in this world that is secure, except a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus and Jesus alone has everything we need in this life of uncertainty. When we place our lives in His hands, we are placing them in the hands of someone who can hold us firm and secure. He will never disappoint us or let us down.
