Scripture 1 Kings 17:1-6

Can you imagine the concern that Elijah must have felt when God told him that there would be no dew or rain upon the earth for a while? He needed water to live and he must have wondered what he was going to do.

Verse 2 tells us that God told him to go down to a certain brook and there He would send ravens to feed him.

Could we have believed God if He told us that birds would feed us? Elijah certainly did. He did as the Lord told him to do. Sure to His word, God sent the ravens morning and night to feed Elijah.

What a mighty God we serve! Whether we realize it or not, we are serving the same God as Elijah was. Just as He sent the ravens, He will do the same for us, if we are willing to trust Him. God may never send ravens to us, but I believe if He needed to, He could.

Phil 4:19 says, “My God shall supply all your need, according to His riches in glory, by Christ Jesus" God will never see any of His children in need, if we trust Him.

What are your needs today? Do you need a miracle from God? Is there something in your life that only God can help you with? If there is, bring it before Him and trust Him to meet your needs today.

Elijah trusted in His God,
He knew He'd see him through.
And you can do the same today,
For He loves and cares for you.
