How often have we said something and the moment it was out of our mouth, we knew it was wrong? Sad to say the damage was already done. We have to be careful how we talk. Our tongues need to be under the Spirit's control.

When people listen to us talk, are they hearing the things that show that we are different? Or are they hearing the same kind of talk that the world talks? It's very important that those living around us hear us say things that bring life, not hurt. Sometimes we fail to realize that every word we say is heard by Jesus. How hurt He must be when he hears His children speak words that are harmful.

There is so much sin and filth in the world today that people need to hear something good for a change. We must be very careful how we speak. We are the only mouths that Jesus can use. How people look at the Lord, depends a great deal on how we represent Him among them. If we can't be kind in our talking, then silence is certainly better.
