Scripture 2 Kings 6:15-17

Have you ever been in a place in your Christian walk, where you felt you were completely surrounded by the devil and his army? Did it seem like you were standing all alone, with no one to help you?

As you can see from the scripture reading today, Elisha seemed to have the same problem. When his servant got up early one morning, he found that they were completely surrounded by the enemy. He asked Elisha what they should do. He must have been really surprised when Elisha said, "There are more with us then there are with them."

You see, the servant was looking at the situation with his physical eyes, but Elisha saw things with his spiritual eyes. He prayed and asked God to open his servant’s eyes, so that he might see. Glory to God! When his eyes were opened, he saw that the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire. The army of Heaven was to fight for Elisha.

I believe it is the same for everyone today who has their trust in a never failing God. Jesus said that He would be with us to the end and He meant what He said. We will never have to stand alone. When our enemy Satan attacks, we need not fear, because Jesus, the one on our side, is greater than Satan or anything he tries.

Don't ever feel you stand alone
The Lord is always there.
He's seated at the Father's side
In interceding prayer
