Scripture Ezekiel 22:23-31

How the heart of God must have been stirred as He spoke to Ezekiel. Everywhere He looked there was sin. Even the prophets were causing hurt. The Priests were violating His law and the land was filled with oppression. In verse 30 God said,"I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap for the land." He couldn't find anyone, so He poured out His wrath upon them.

When we look at the way things were in Ezekiel's day, we can see that in many ways it is the same today. There is more oppression and hurt today, then there ever was before. A lot of people only care about themselves and what they can get. A lot of times they don't even care who they hurt while they are trying to get it.

God is just as concerned about the people today as He was in Ezekiel's day. He is still looking for people who are willing to stand in the gap for this land of ours.

May we always be willing to pray for others and if the need is there, go a step further and help in any way we can. We must be people who are willing to be used by God in this day of so much uncertainly.

Are you willing to stand
Are you willing to stand
If you are, then be true
Allow God to use you
