Scripture Ezekiel 18:24-32

The words in this passage are not to be taken lightly. Verse 24 tells us that if a righteous man backslides, the righteousness he had counts for nothing. Verse 27 tells us that if a wicked man turns from his sin and does what is right, he shall save his soul. The people were saying that the way of the Lord wasn't fair. But God is indeed fair and equal in all things.

God gave each of us a free will and we choose to live right or not. If we are not willing to live a life that is pleasing to God, how do we expect to reap all the benefits? All throughout scripture we see God pleading time and time again for the people to change their ways, but they wanted to live their own way. Isn't it the same with people today? They feel they can live how they like, reject God and still go to Heaven in the end.

I believe verse 32 comes from the heart of God. He says, "I have no pleasure in the death of one who dieth, turn and live." God's desire is that all mankind would turn from their wickedness and live. Have you made your choice today? We must make the right choice because life without God, is no life at all.

God sets before you two paths
.The broad and narrow way
Ask yourself when choosing
In Heaven will it pay
