Scripture Ruth 1:16

How appropriate the following words would be if they were placed on a wedding announcement. Whether thou goest I will go and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people and thy God my God. These were the word spoken by Ruth to her mother-in-law Naomi. She made a vow to stick by her no matter what happened.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could make a similar statement to God and keep it. Maybe something like this....Wherever you would have me to go I will go. Whatever you would have me to do I will do. Your people will be my people and You will always be my God. Are we willing to say that to God and mean it? Are we really willing to go where He wants us to go and do what He wants us to do? Will we live the way he chooses?

Are we willing to give Him first place in everything? He is always looking for people who are totally sold out to Him and His work. People who are always willing to put Him first and always say...Not my will Father but yours be done. It isn’t always easy to put the will of God above your own. But it is something we must do. If you haven’t done it already, start putting God’s will ahead of your own and watch the difference it will make in your life

.

Allow God’s will to be done
Within your life today
Don’t let it be just words
Really mean what you say
