Scripture James 4: 7-10,17

Want to know an easy way to get Satan to leave you alone? It is found in verse 7. The answer is to submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. And like verse 8 says, if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us. Verse 10 says that if we humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord, He will lift us up. We have to always remember that no matter what comes our way, if we submit it and ourselves to God, He will work all things out. God is the greater one. Jesus defeated Satan, and so He can help us when we need it.

Verse 17 says that anyone who knows the good he should be doing and doesn’t do it, is sinning. If we want the Lord to help us overcome the devil, we have to stop sinning. Jesus can’t stand sin. He loves the sinner, but he hates the sin that is in people’s lives.

So, the next time Satan is giving you a rough time, examine yourself. Don’t look at God and say why are you doing this? Examine yourself and make sure if there is any sin in your life. If there is, confess it to God and get it out of the way. Then, submit to God, resist the devil, and he will have no choice but to flee. If this is what God’s word says to do, then that is exactly what we need to do. For God’s word is truth.

Resist the devil, he will flee
In God you will have victory
Satan is a defeated foe
When to the Lord in prayer you go.
