Scripture Psalm 46:1-3, 10-11

Have you ever come to a point in your life when all you felt like doing is crying out Help!!! We sometimes do come to places in our Christian walk where everything we put our hand to goes wrong. If you have been there or are there now, take heart, there is an answer. The answer is God. Verse 1 says that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. A refuge is a place of shelter you can go to. What better place could we go when we are in trouble than to God. He is indeed our strength and always there to help.

Verse 2 says we do not have to fear even if the earth was removed and the mountains were carried unto the sea. According to verses 2 & 3 regardless of what happens, we do not have to fear. The bible says that perfect love casts out all fear. (1 John 4:18) So if we are walking in love, we will not have any fear.

Verse 10 says that we are to be still and know that God is God. God will be exalted among the heathen and in the earth. Because we know the Lord he will be with us and is our refuge. We have absolutely no need whatsoever to be afraid or feel that we have no hope, because we have God on our side. What else could we possibly need? Praise God because He is always with us, every step of the way.

God indeed is our refuge
To His arms we can go
Doesn’t matter what we’re facing
God can work it out we know
