Scripture Micah 6:8

You may sometimes wonder what God really requires of you as His child. This verse lists some of the things he expects His people to do. #1....To do justly. To be fair in all your dealings, whether it be in business matters or just dealing with people one on one. There is very little justice shown anywhere today, but the child of God has to be different. We must show justice to all people, at all times, in all situations.

#2....To love mercy. Where would we be today without God’s mercy? If He hadn’t shown us mercy, we would be in a very bad place. God expects us to not only love mercy but to show mercy. When someone wrongs you, how do you react? Do you show mercy, forgive them and give them a second chance? If you do, then God is pleased.

#3...To walk humbly with God. One thing God hates is pride. When you accomplish something in your life, how do you react? Do you get all puffed up with pride? Or do you give all the credit to God, the one who gives you the ability and wisdom to do all that you do? It is not wrong to be proud of yourself for what you accomplish, but not when it comes to the point that you are looked at as the source instead of God. Never let pride get in the way of your walk with God.

What does God require of his children....justice, love, mercy and humility. How do these rate in your life today?

What does God require of you
He wants you to be true
To walk in ways that are right
To serve Him with all your might
