Scripture Job 23:1-12

Job was going through things that he could not understand. Even his friends thought that he was being punished by God for some sin he had committed. No matter how much Job protested that he had not sinned, it seemed no one believed him. Job stated that he wished he could find God so that he could present his case before him. It seemed according to verses 8&9 that he felt he could not find God.

Job was at a place where it seemed he didn’t even know up from down anymore. Verse 12 tells us how he really felt. He said...He knoweth the way I take and when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. Job held on to his integrity and continued to say he hadn’t sinned. Even though he couldn’t understand what was going on or why his life was falling apart and in such turmoil. He still trusted God. He maintained his trust in God and even if God never helped him he would believe that in the end he would come forth as gold. Job knew he had done nothing wrong and there was no way anyone could convince him he had.

Do you feel something like Job did today? Does it seem like the bottom has fallen out of your world? Are you in a situation where you don’t know what is happening? No matter what you are going through God is there. You may not understand it right now, but you need to keep on trusting. God will not fail you. Just place your hand in His unchanging hand. And at the end of the battle, you too will be able to say....When He has tried me I shall come forth as gold.

You may sometimes be tested
All things might fall apart
Be sure to keep your hand in God’s
And maintain trust in your heart
