Scripture Numbers 16: 31-35

What an awful thing to have happen to someone. That would probably be one of the statements someone reading this might make. Someone else might say that God wasn’t fair. God was punishing Korah because of his rebellion. A lot of people feel that God is a God of love and he would never hurt anyone, so they can’t understand verses like these. I praise God today because He is indeed a God love, and great is His love. But, He is also a God of judgement.

Over the years He has tolerated sin as long as possible, but there always comes a time when He will say enough and He will reward those sinning according to their sins. It is the same today. God has given mankind the choice to accept Jesus or not. He will not force anyone to do anything. It is up to us whether we accept Jesus or not. But it unrealistic to think that we can live sinful lives and expect God to bless us.

There are people who are trying to live the best Christian life they can every day. If they have to live lives that are pleasing to God, how do we expect to live any old way at all and reap the same benefits they do. We cannot live whatever way we like and answer to no one. We will answer to God. Be careful how you act and what you say. God is always watching and He is your final judge.

If you tempt God the Father
His judgement may just fall
Why not live to please Him
For you He gave His all
