Scripture Psalm 37: 1-8

A lot of Christians are asking God why the wicked seem to prosper as they do. The Psalmist said we are not to fret because of evildoers, or to be envious of those who prosper in their wrong doings. We are to trust in the Lord and continue to do good. If we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our hearts. We are to commit our way unto Him and He shall bring it to pass. We are also to rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him to move on our behalf.

The wicked may seem to be prospering more than we feel they should, but unless they repent, their prosperity will be short lived. When the time comes for them to die, they cannot take any of their prosperity with them. The only thing that will matter then is the condition of their soul. If we do all the things listed at the beginning, things will turn out well for us, with an added bonus.......Heaven!! So don’t sit down and fret and fume over what the wicked are doing.

Instead, look to the one that can meet every need you have. The only hope we have is found in Him. He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory, by Christ Jesus (Phil 4:19) So from now on remember to do this when you are in need. Trust the Lord, delight yourself in Him, commit your ways to Him, and wait patiently for Him. He will come to your aid.

Don’t look at what the wicked have
Look to your God who cares
Wait patiently and He will work
He’ll quickly dry your tears
