Scripture Jeremiah 3:15

There are many Pastors and Ministers of the gospel that are like wolves in sheep clothing. They use their ministry for what they can gain, not for what they can give. They teach their people anything but sound doctrine and don’t feel any guilt about doing so. They are leading many astray and will stand before God in judgement for their actions, unless they repent.

God says in this verse that He will give us Pastors according to His heart who will feed us with knowledge and understanding. God still has servants that are true to Him. He still has Ministers of the gospel that love His people the way that He loves them. Jesus told Peter to feed His sheep. (John 21:15-17) He expects no less from those He has called today than He did from Peter. He expects Pastors to help His people find knowledge and understanding. To care for them as He would.

We have to be very careful how we treat our Pastor. Always remember that He is a servant of God and we must treat Him with the utmost respect. If you have any concerns or problems, he is there to help you. Together, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you will work things out. He will pray with you and help you through your time of trial. I am not saying that your Pastor takes the place of God, even he wouldn’t want to do that. But he is called to lead you and feed you. Thank God today for Pastors who live according to His heart.

God gives to us Pastors
Who work for Him each day
He knows just what we need
So He sends help our way
