Scripture 2 Chronicles 5: 12-14

Praise!!! A very small word with a very big outcome. What happens when we praise God? One of the things that happened here was that the glory of the Lord fell. It says that the singers and the players got together in one accord and sent an offering praise to God. While they were praising God, a cloud filled the house of the Lord.

Imagine if you can....A group of people singing and praising God when all of a sudden a cloud of God’s glory filled the house. Verse 14 says that because of the glory cloud, the priests could not stand to minister. Oh the glory that must have filled that place. There is nothing as precious as feeling the presence, glory and power of God. It is second to none.

There is a price to pay if we are to see and feel the glory of God in that way. Are we willing to pay it today? Are we willing to tarry in his presence until we feel his power? Are we willing to praise Him at all times and not just when we feel like it? The Bible says in Psalms 34:1 that the praise of God should continually be in our mouth.

There is so much to praise God for today. He is such a wonderful Father. He has given us so much and is always there for us at all times. He is a faithful Father. If we continue to praise Him and live for Him everyday, we too can expect to see His glory fall. It will be worth it.

To see the glory of our God
We too must pay a price
We must always lift our praise
And in our God rejoice
