Job was going through what could be best described as literal torment. He was full of sores and had lost all of his family, except for his wife. Yet despite it all, we hear Job make this statement....Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. What a statement of faith and complete trust in God. Despite what was happening to him, he still trusted God to do what was right.
He could have very easily become bitter and had indeed cursed God like his wife had told him to do, but he didn’t. He said he would trust God even if He killed him. I feel somewhat like Job did. I have seen God do so many things for me and my family that I cannot doubt Him. Even if He did nothing else for me I would have to believe that He is a God that loves and cares about me and that He knows what is best for my life.
I am sure as you read this, you too can see so many prayers that God has answered on your behalf. God is a wonderful Father and He deserves all the praise that we give him. He is so faithful. Can you say along with Job today....Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.
