Scripture Psalm 15: 1-5

This Psalm could be looked at as a pattern for how to live your life to please God. Many people live any way they wish. They do whatsoever they want and feel justified when they do it. This Psalm however, shows that God expects us to not do certain things. Verse 2 says that you have to live a blameless life and tell the truth. Verse 3, says we are not to backbite or do harm to our neighbours. Verse 4 says we are to speak out against sin and honour those who are faithful to the Lord. Also to never go back on our word but always keep a promise. Verse 5 says to always use our money honestly, and not speak falsely against the innocent, even if offered a bribe. The last part of Verse 5 says that anyone who lives this way will stand firm forever.

God has certain rules that he expects His children to follow. You cannot hurt people and expect God to honour you. For all throughout scripture we are told to love, love, love. It is so important that we follow the guidelines that is set up in God's Word. They were put on record for us. When we live our lives as good as we possibly can, we will not be ashamed when we stand before Him, but we will stand with confidence, knowing that we did all we could do. Knowing that we tried our best to live the way He wanted us to.

If you want to please God
Live the best you can
Do good to everyone you meet
And love your fellow man.
