Scripture Ephesians 6: 10-18

As born again Christians we are living in a society where wickedness is abounding on every side. Every way we turn we see the ugliness of sin. We don't have to look very far to see its many victims. Make no wonder Paul warns that we are to put on the whole armour of God so that we will be able to withstand against the wiles (the attacks) of the enemy. When he goes on to tell us what we are up against we can see the need for God's armour. He said we are fighting against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places. Meaning wicked Spirits in the heavens.

We are not fighting against something we can see, but against the army of Satan. Satan will not win in his attacks on the child of God, if we are fully equipped with the armour that God provides. It is there for us to use. It is absolutely up to us if we take advantage of it and use it. If we choose to try and go it on our own, we will be in trouble.

To avoid being slaughtered by Satan and his host we must stand fully clothed in God's armour. Then when Satan does attack, we will always be ready. So remember, when Satan's darts are being hurled, all you have to do is stand firm and brave with your armour on, knowing that with God you'll make it through.

Don't leave your armour off
Wear it all the time
It protects you totally
Body and soul and mind
