Scripture Daniel 6: 12-24

Daniel had broken a decree that the king had signed because he had prayed to God. The king had a great respect for Daniel. The men who wanted to get rid of Daniel quickly told the king and reminded him that he had said that whoever asked anything from anyone except the king would be cast into the lion's den. The king had no choice but to carry out what he said he would do. So Daniel was cast into the den of lions. Daniel must have told the king about his God because the king said, "Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest will deliver thee". Then the king fasted and waited until morning to see what would happen.

When he went to the den and called for Daniel, he found him alive and well. God had sent an angel to shut the Lions mouth. Because of his trust in God to deliver him, Daniel proved that God was able. The men and their families that had accused Daniel however were not as fortunate. The lions killed them even before they hit the bottom of the den.

Isn't it wonderful to know that even in the face of lions, God is able to deliver those who trust in Him? What is your lion today? Is it sickness, loneliness, fear? Maybe its something you haven't even shared with anyone. Be assured today that just as God delivered Daniel from the lions den, he is able to deliver you from any situation that may come your way, if you trust him to. Don't ever doubt God's ability to meet your every need. No mater how fierce the lions may be.

God is able to deliver
All who trust in him today
If you do not doubt or waver
Let him work things out His way.
