Scripture Romans 1:14-17

Paul was someone who had persecuted Christians for their faith in Jesus. He was one of the ones standing by when they had stoned Stephen. As a matter of fact they laid their clothes at Paul's feet, while he stood there agreeing to the stoning. What happened you may ask? Paul came in contact with Jesus Christ in such a way that he now believed the message of Christ. In Verse 16 he stated that he was not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul may have had a lot happen in his life that he was ashamed of, but Jesus Christ and His gospel was not one of them.

If you continued to read about Paul you would see that the gospel burned within him and he told it to anyone who would listen. Can the same he said of us today? Are we ashamed of the Gospel of Christ? Do we freely tell everyone we come in contact with that Jesus died for them and that he loves them unconditionally, or do we see the lost and stay silent hoping they wouldn't notice that we are different?

Jesus said if we are ashamed of Him, He would be ashamed of us before His Father in Heaven. Make sure today that you avail yourself of every opportunity that presents itself to tell others that Jesus died for them and there is a better way to live. Let us never ever be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ for it is the power of God until Salvation to everyone who believes.

Ashamed of the Gospel of Christ
Is something you never should be
For it's only through knowing Jesus
Your soul can be totally free
