Scripture Mark 13: 29-37

Many, many times society has been told that Jesus is coming soon. The outcry from hearts today is, "you told me that years ago, I still have plenty of time to be ready." Sad to say, that may not be the case. No one knows when Jesus will return. According to Verse 32, not even Jesus himself knows. But, He will return.

In this scripture His coming is compared to a man taking a journey and leaving all he had in the care of his servants. If that man came back suddenly and found them falling down on the job, what would he do? He would probably fire them. So, the most obvious thing for the servants to do is keep everything in order and keep watching for their master. So it is with those of us who are born again and awaiting the return of Jesus. We too have to live our lives in expectance, knowing that today might be the day. We need to be ready at all times and watching.

What about you who don't know Jesus? My advice is to get ready. You can't afford to keep saying you have plenty of time. After all is said and done, Jesus could come at any moment and if your soul is not ready and you're not watching and prepared to meet him, you could be left behind. What an awful statement, "Left Behind." Jesus says to you today, that this day is the day of Salvation. Be ye ready and Watch!!!

You must always be ready
For the coming of the Lord
He will come very quickly
