Scripture Hebrews 1:1-8

In the Old Testament days God spoke to His people through prophets. Other times He sent angels. Many times the people took the ones that God sent and killed them because they couldn't bear to hear the judgement God was pronouncing upon them because of their many sins. The world continued on in sin, so what did God do? He sent His only Son.

Jesus came and preached a message of love. He went against the ways of the world that said you only care about those who care about you. He preached that you love your enemies and do good to those who hate you. God loved this world so much that he sent His very best. Verse 3 says that Jesus was the brightness of God's glory and the image of Him. If you want to know what God is like, look at and study the life of Jesus. He was God in the flesh. He did only what pleased God.

And if you want to imitate anyone today, Jesus is a great one to imitate. To be like Jesus should be the aim of every born again believer that claims to know God. The world is looking to see something different in the lives of those who are claiming to be "Christians". The first five letters of that word spells Christ. Are you like him? Do you walk as he walked? Do you talk as he would talk? Do you love as he loved? Do you truly know Jesus? Have you accepted Him into your life? If not, why not do it now.

God cared so much He gave
The very best He had.
Knowing all He did for us
Should make our hearts so glad
